Sada arrived on October 2, 1917. There were ten children in the family: sons Shurei, Minoru, Stanley Tariho, and Henry Takao; and daughters Edith Fumiko, Charlotte Yukie, Doris Michie, Florence Hisae, Janet Teruko, and Lois Midori. In 1930, the family lived in Eleele and father Masaichi worked at the McBryde Sugar Company mill as
