the group will visit all of the monuments which will include: 442nd RCT, Lost Battalion, Yohei Sagami Stele, Tomosu Hirahara Square, 3rd Infantry Division, 45th Infantry Division, Robert Booth, and the 405th FS. We will also visit the American Cemeteries at Epinal and Lorraine for wreath laying ceremonies. The group will place leis and
local funeral homes with full military color guard and veterans marching alongside. The caskets for Tanaka and Nakamura, accompanied by escorts Technical Sergeant Masoni Hinoki and Sergeant Robert Yamamoto, were taken to the Lodi Funeral Home, where family and friends attended brief services and offered personal tributes and remembrances. Family Christmas party with about 100 in attendance was held on December 17 at the 100th Infantry Battalion Clubhouse in Honolulu. Five veterans were present this year: Robert Kishinami, Fujio Matsuda, Jack Nakamura, Richard Nomura and Shiroku “Whitey” Yamamoto. Members, family and friends enjoyed the lunch spread provided by the Iolani School cafeteria, which
killed in action during the war. The ceremony was held at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of the Crossroads. Services were held for Daniel Betsui, Jenhatsu Chinen, Robert Murata, Grover Nagaji, Akio Nishikawa, Hiroichi Tomita, and Howard Urabe, all former UH students. The Reverend Mineo Katagiri of Nuuanu Congregational Church, presided. Hung Wai Ching,
